First time I visited this county in eastern Kentucky, it was fully dry. The next time, they had just passed liquor by the drink. Cut to now, another ~8 years later, and they have bigger liquor stores than most NC ABC stores. Also, protip: if the liquor store mysteriously has neither Angostura nor Peychauds, and the goal is Manhattans, then these Fee Bros cherry bitters actually pull pretty solid double duty (since there aren’t any maraschino cherries either).
