Also, in the decades since I last bought a new bike (my previous bike was a low-end Cannondale that was abandoned on a friend’s porch), carbon fiber has taken over the world and so now every single tightenable thing comes with a very specific torque spec. Even things nowhere near any carbon fiber. Even things that come with their own proprietary wrenches that are not torque wrenches. It’s goofy.
Buy a bicycle on the Internet. The first time it is shipped, FedEx “loses” it. Its replacement arrives with a rear tire that will not hold air. My takeaway: do not buy a bicycle on the Internet. @velotricebike will you please respond to my email about this tire situation? It was this flat when I unboxed it and it won’t hold air for more than a few hours.
