Lots of people out at the @bikedurham #ebike expo right now — multiple vendors offering test rides, too. Very cool to see. I got to ride the D8 version of the @ternbicycles Quick Haul, and it has definitely further piqued my interest in trying out the P9. I just want a *little* more power/speed. Doesn’t have to match my big honking Velotric (which weighs a good 15 pounds more) . . . but 15% more oomf than the D8 might just seal the deal. The expo will be ongoing til 7:30 (Monday 6/24) so if you’re in/near #DurhamNC, come thru!

These two prints from 1975, by British artist Barry Nelson, hang in the third floor elevator lobby of the building I work in. It is kind of weird that they are from an edition of 50 but they also seem to be readily available online, purportedly from that same edition of 50, for $600 apiece. I like them, though, regardless. And they have probably been hanging in that elevator lobby for 40 years or more.

Text from the image: For James Chance (James White) Today by David Siegfried, Organizer Dear Friends, We are sad to announce that James Chance (Siegfried) passed away peacefully this morning after his long illness. We are so grateful we flew to NY to be here with him the past two days, and that he was still awake and aware enough to be able to converse with us and share many memories of his time in music, childhood and family.
